We are glad that you are interested in pursuing your studies with us. Briefly, these are the important points which you have to know about our study program "Transport Industrial Engineering" - "Vwing":

Since the winter semester 2009/10 the study program is offered at the University of Wuppertal. A special feature of our university is that the bachelor's and master's degree programs are offered jointly by the Schools of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Safety Engineering and the Schumpeter School of Business and Economics. This combination of traffic engineering and economics has been requested by research and practice for years and we are proud that we can now offer this cross-faculty combination in a Bachelor and Master program.

The future prospects for our prospective 'vwing' graduates are excellent. This is borne out by the results of two research projects, one of which was conducted at the University of Wuppertal and funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs. Our degree program was developed specifically on the basis of the findings obtained in these projects and prepares you for the future demands of society on mobility, logistics and their environment. Compared to existing offerings in transportation, Vwing teaches more business and legal fundamentals; this is precisely what future employers demand.

In order to be able to constantly develop the quality and up-to-dateness of education in our Vwing program, intensive accompanying research and good practical contacts are very important. We are very committed to both of these. For you as students, it is particularly interesting that we have been able to gain numerous practical partners who support us with their know-how. Insights into the professional world are the order of the day for us. We teachers, in turn, will teach you the technical, methodological and social skills that can be used in the working world.
