Our master's degree to obtain the title "Master of Science M.Sc." completes the bachelor's degree with a standard period of study of 4 semesters to a fully professional, chamber-eligible and internationally recognized university degree. The full-time course begins either in the winter or summer semester and requires a high level of motivation. The admission requirements for the master's program consist of a bachelor's degree in the field of architecture and a successful portfolio application. The application period for the summer semester 2024 begins on January 15, 2024, from then on a link for registration will be activated. (With the registration you will receive an automatic return email with all the instructions for the online application).

The study program deepens the bachelor's degree and also conveys a much more complex, interdisciplinary understanding of architecture. For this purpose, the program is divided into the continuation of a general, draft offer (60% credit points) and an individual specialization (40% credit points). The specializations experimental design, experimental urban research, sustainability and architectural performance, real estate management and project development and building with existing structures are offered in close coordination with the research work of the professorships involved. They include seminars and a studio. The choice of specialization is made after the first master's semester.

Application

The admission requirement for the master's program is proof of a successfully completed diploma or bachelor's degree at a university, technical university or university of applied sciences in the field of architecture with a standard period of study of at least six semesters (180 ECTS credit points), passing our Aptitude assessment procedure; and last but not least, proof of a 6-month full-time internship in an architectural office.

The Master's program can be pursued in winter or summer semester. The aptitude assessment is carried out by submitting a portfolio directly to the study program. Please note the information on deadlines in the "Studies" section above.
